Hurricane Irma Business Continuity Plan

Due to the likely direct impact of Hurricane Irma in our area, our offices will be closed on Monday, September 11th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause your practice.

Although our facilities are specifically designed to withstand the forces of a hurricane such as this, we cannot anticipate the actual specific challenges this storm will bring. Rest assured that EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems has a comprehensive business continuity plan in place to resume critical services in the event of a disaster such as this. We are currently assuming a worst case scenario and are already mobilizing staff and equipment to provide critical services for our clients.

In the meantime, we do have limited staff that will be able to respond to emergencies should they occur during and immediately after the storm. However, we cannot anticipate how the storm will impact these services while the storm is in the area. If you experience an EMR outage emergency, please call our main line and dial option 4 or send an e-mail to support@eyemdemr.com. We ask that you please limit any contact to EMR outages and emergencies only. We will keep our client base informed on the availability of critical services via e-mail and the Client Newswire. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Worldwide Cloud Outage Impact

A software update from the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has inadvertently disrupted IT systems globally. Although most of our systems were unaffected, our primary remote support tool (LogMeIn Rescue) is currently offline. Consequently, our remote support capabilities have been impacted. Our support team is unable to access customer systems using this tool. However, we can connect to remote systems using an alternative, customer-initiated tool. As a result, we are unable to perform certain remote tasks, which may lead to support delays and cancellations. Additionally, our credit card processing partner, Nexio, is currently unable to process credit card transactions, and certain eligibility checks are failing. We thank
